Here there is time to view the church, visit the art gallery at Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, take tea in the café or beautiful gardens or walk down the wooded approach to the beach. We arrive back at Bryn Eisteddfod around 18.00 to meet up before the evening meal.
Free time then to relax for the evening !
Day 2 After another splendid Bryn Eisteddfod breakfast we leave for Caernarfon Castle at 9.30. The guided tour of the castle will last for an hour and there is time allowed to visit the Royal Welch Fusiliers museum and castle shop before leaving at 12noon for Beaumaris on Anglesey.
Free time to have lunch at one of the many cafés, stroll on the pier, with spectacular views of Snowdonia, or visit the old courthouse or jail. The 45 minute guided tour of Beaumaris Castle starts at 14.30, after which we leave for Penmon to explore the church, monastic buildings, St. Seriol’s well and ancient dovecote.
Refreshments are usually available at Blackpoint with views of the Menai Straits, Puffin Island and working lighthouse. At 17.00 we leave Penmon, arriving back at Bryn Eisteddfod around 18.00 again allowing time to meet up informally in the bar before the evening meal.
